10 on 10: January | Apple Valley Lifestyle Photographer

I’m joining a talented group of photographers for a 10 on 10 blog circle. The idea is to shoot and share a ten image story from a single day. Around August’s birthday last year, we were given a membership to the Minnesota Zoo, and it has been fantastic. We go so often – really, nearly once a week. So this 10 on 10 is a quick story of a recent trip to the zoo. Be sure to link on through the circle to see some of the other gorgeous stories happening across the country and the world! The remarkable Maite Pons is up after me.

  1. His little hand in mittens! What a cutie. I remember when my girls were young, we would do the same thing. They napped so well on zoo days.

  2. I am in love with your photography Allison and this story just simply makes me happy. Every shot full of color and movement and so much story-telling. My fave was the otter and the one of your boy with his hand on the aquarium glass…so sweet! I’m so inspired!

  3. Alison, I love the look of excitement in your boy’s eyes as your story unfolds and the perfect ending with his little friend.

  4. I love all the shots of his hands engaging. Such a quintessential peek at childhood bliss. So lovely.

  5. You have created a real story here – from start (anticipation!) to finish (nap). And your ability to focus in so beautifully in all your photos is such an inspiration.

  6. You captured the wonder of a child’s visit to the zoo oh so well. I lived at the zoo with two littles when they were small. This was nostalgic for me!
