I think Candace and Erik are about the most laid back bride and groom I’ve ever worked with – and I’ve got to tell you, my couples are generally pretty chill (definitely part of why we work so well together!). I think it says a lot about these two, though. They are so sure of themselves, of each other, and of their relationship, that while taking this next step was big, it was just so right. The absolute joy of the gathered crowd absolutely confirmed that with every passing minute.
Candace looked just gorgeous in her summery knee-length dress and birdcage veil, and Erik was downright dapper in his navy suit. Their outdoor ceremony at the Aster Café was being chased by rainstorms, but it wasn’t until part way through the reception that there was even a drop of rain, and by then some of the folks had moved inside to listen to Sophia Sorai and her jazz combo.
The whole day was just ridiculously happy in a beautiful, calm and comfortable way. Candace and Erik, you two are the best. Seriously – being at your wedding was like being among people I had known forever, and in the best possible way. I wish you two the absolute best – all sorts of journeys and laughter and, of course, love upon love.
