It’s another installment of what will hopefully be many monthly letters written to my son. It’s a part of a memory-keeping attempt to capture these glimpses into the everyday and the not so ordinary moments that pass by so quickly as children grow. This is an ongoing series.
Dear happy bucket of energy,
We’ve gotten into a pretty good routine with Dad back at work and you and me home during the day. We have different outings – storytime, trips to the zoo, visits with family and friends – that keep our schedule fresh for both of us. I did go to Texas for a few days this month for Click Away, a photography conference put on by Clickin’ Moms. It was refreshing to do something by myself for the first time in a while, but I missed you and your Dad something fierce. I had a wonderful time, and I was so glad to be back home with you two.
You are running, your are pretending to sneeze and sneak around telling me “shhhh!” You love to play with your dump truck (“beep beep beep DUMP”), and Daniel Tiger… oh, Daniel Tiger… is ALWAYS on your mind, it seems. We listen and dance to music almost all the time, you love to explore the piano and the various other instruments we’ve got around the house. I’m looking forward to a little road trip, just the two of us, to visit our friends in Nebraska and to do a little shooting down there.
You continue to amaze and delight everyone around you. I’m just loving this autumn with you and looking forward to some snowfall that you can enjoy!
Love always and always,
Mama
