Oh, sweet summertime! It’s been busy around here, but we’ve definitely been relishing in all that summer’s got to offer around here. I photographed Candace and Erik’s wedding at the beginning of the month (more on their completely joy-filled day soon!), and got the chance to head up to the beautiful south shore of Lake Superior for my second In This Place session (more on these soon too!) with Anna and David. Lucky for me, David had popped the big question to Anna the day before I got there, so it turned into a sort of impromptu engagement session too! I’m so excited for them!

We are lucky to have a good deal of extended family pretty close by, and we had a couple of family gatherings. We also took our son on his very first camping trip – he did such a great job! There was one nighttime waking that probably bothered some of our fellow campers, but by and large he was fantastic. I was also glad to have a little bit of time to play around and capture some of the smaller spots of beauty that comes along with the beginning of summer.
