Heather and Rolf are just about the sweetest folks you’ll ever meet. Truly. When we met up for their initial consult, the coffee shop was just crazy busy, so without any hesitation they invited me over to their home nearby, and put on a fresh pot of coffee. As we chatted around their kitchen table, they told me not about the colors they had chosen, not the flowers that were going to perfectly compliment their stationery. What they expressed was just how crazy excited they were to celebrate this important and profound step in their relationship with the people who have made each of them and them as a couple who they are today.

Heather was absolutely stunning in her keyhole dress with the most beautiful lace. She wore Rolf’s mother’s brooch in her hair, and had a pin that was a gift from Rolf’s father to his mother in her bouquet. Though Rolf’s parents passed on some years ago, their presence was definitely felt throughout the ceremony and the celebration.

Rolf’s daughter, Nola, was also a big part of the ceremony and the reception. The creation of these three as a new family was very important to them, and their officiant from Westminster Presbyterian Church did a beautiful job – I don’t think there was a dry eye in the place! That carried on at their Gale Mansion reception when Nola and Rolf had their own father-daughter dance complete with lifts and spins – the whole nine yards. It was fantastic.

Heather and Rolf (and of course, Nola too!) – I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for inviting me to document your beautiful, impactful and one-of-a-kind celebration. I wish you more trips to the dog park together, walks around the lakes, song, laughter, adventure, and love, love, love.
