This amazing and continually inspiring group of ladies and I have been doing this favorite 5 blog circle for coming on two and a half years. Two and a half years! Every month we post a small selection of favorite shots from the previous month, add a little bit of commentary and link on to the next gal in the circle. Alright, so I can’t limit it to five from October. I just can’t. I got to go to my very first photography conference, Click Away put on by Clickin’ Moms, in San Antonio, Texas. I got to meet some of my long-time photography friends in real, honest-to-goodness life and it was such a trip. It was amazing to feel the genuineness that they have projected through online classes and social media come to life and be even more wonderful than you had previously thought. The conference itself was also great. The first set of photos were from a couple of shoots during the conference. The second two are from doing some photo-walking with Angie, Kendra and Kris.

I had some beautiful shoots with families, a couple of high school seniors and some engagement photos for some folks whose weddings I’ll be shooting in the coming year. I seriously love fall in Minnesota – gorgeous, filtered, autumn light, temperatures just about right and loads of laughter. I could shoot in October all year round … you know, if that was a thing that could happen – ha!

Lastly, I had to throw in a couple of personal things – I have fallen hard for the bonsai collection at the Como Conservatory. The deciduous trees in the collection have leaves that change color in the fall and they’re gorgeous. Really stunning. And lastly, I can’t do a 5 on 5 post without a shot of August – he’s SUPER into “driving” the car these days. It’s pretty adorable.
