I’m sure I’m starting to sound like a broken record, but really, this summer was pretty fantastic. The big change in my immediate life is that our son, August, is very much an active part of the goings on. Not that he wasn’t here last year – he was, but he didn’t do anywhere near as much of the dictating of events and timing and such that he did this summer (and surely going forward!). So this summer was completely filled with weddings and swimming and camping and sand-digging and airplane watching. Trips and adventures and learning, learning, learning. The month of August was no exception to this, and I think my picks tell that story well.
