A beautiful and continually inspiring group of ladies and I have been doing this favorite five on five blog circle for years and it continues to give me such remarkable joy – I’m not sure where I’d be without it! Every month we post a small selection of favorite shots from the previous month, add a little bit of commentary and link on to the next gal in the circle. So, be sure to head over to check out Audrey’s beautiful work when you’re done here – thanks for looking!
December – that month of coming together, of bundling up and cozying in, of sparkling lights, of wonder and of awe. I actually took it pretty easy, photography-wise, this month, just catching little bits and pieces of the month: box forts, Christmas trees, snows and trips to the zoo.

all the magic of the season wrapped up right here! plus a jelly fish or two (which could be my favorite things ever at the zoo).
happy 2017!
I can’t resist those jellyfish, and they aren’t even the fancy kind. I swear I shoot them every time we go (which is too often 😉 ).
You can see his joy and sense of adventure in so many of your images, especially these!
Thanks 🙂 He’s definitely a fun little guy to be around.
Hi Alison! It’s been awhile since I’ve stopped by! Hope to make it a habit more this year as your work is so inspiring to me. I always love the joy you capture and these are no exception. That bear….so much love. Happy New Year!
Thank you so much! Love following you too – and such a good intention for the new year. Something I hope to do better at too 🙂
He’s going to be a great big brother! 🙂 And the bear, oh my, that one, something about the subtle light hitting the face fur… love it.
I think so too 🙂 That bear is a favorite stop at the zoo for sure!
