Perfect Roce Ceremony | Minneapolis Wedding Photography

With family and friends flying in not only from across the country, but from around the planet, Natasha and Steve’s wedding was a landmark event – one of those that spans far more than just a day. It’s one of those events where you feel in your gut that these two have been launched into marriage so perfectly. To honor Natasha’s Mangalorean heritage, Natasha and Steve decided to have a Roce Ceremony the evening before their wedding. I was thrilled to be asked to do cover that event for them as well. The Roce ceremony is a blessing where family members mark the foreheads of the bride and groom with a mix of coconut milk and coconut oil. It wasn’t anything I’ve ever gotten to experience before and it was such a treat to be able to be there!

Tomorrow I’ll be posting Natasha and Steve’s gorgeous wedding day, so stay tuned!
