Why I Love This Photo | St Paul Family Photographer

This amazing family is full of rockstars, and none more than three-year-old Chloe. Why do I love this photo (and I do, about a million times over)? This was at the very end of their St Paul family photo session, and if you’ve ever had your photos taken, you know that by the end of things you’re sometimes just ready to be done. In some cases – especially with little ones – you’re beyond ready, you just pretty much are done. And you know what? That’s completely fine! I’m sure to get some really gorgeous images toward the beginning of your session where everyone’s on. I pinky promise. But this image – this image I totally love. Big sister Kaylee is being her incredibly patient self. Mom and dad are still managing to hold up really well. Chloe, though, is done with photos. Definitely done and only wanting to do her own rocking out. This girl has a future on stage, that is for sure! But I totally love this because it’s such a portrait of their family right now – in this little moment in time. Each of their fantastic girls is in such a unique and particular spot on their life journeys and this captures that amazingness – even in its perceived imperfection. I love it.
