Letters to our child | April 2016

It’s another installment of what will hopefully be many monthly letters written to my son. It’s a part of a memory-keeping attempt to capture these glimpses into the everyday and the not so ordinary moments that pass by so quickly as children grow. This is an ongoing series.

Dear sweet, clever one,

I’ve been so blown away lately with your grasp of language. Your attempts at innovation are smart and really make me see the wonder of putting all of the complicated pieces of communication together. I was getting dressed up for a shooting event earlier this weekend, had my dress on and was putting some jewelry and make up on. You saw me getting ready and said to me, “Good tutu, mama – give mama big kiss,” which, of course, completely melted me. Big kiss, indeed!

It seems like every day there’s something new you’re trying, and I look forward, every day, to see what you’ll surprise me with this time!

Love you so so much,
Mama
